Data Conversion
Complete, professional data conversion for all your conversion needs.
Data conversion is the process of changing information stored in one
form into another useable form so that customers can utilize data on any
different operating system they wish. There are three types of data
conversion: media conversion, data conversion and translation, and data
conversion and transmission. Media conversion involves converting data
from one medium (e.g. tapes and disks such as mainframe reel tapes or
IBM 3480/3490 tapes) to another medium (e.g. CDs or ZIP disks). Data
conversion and translation is the conversion of information from one
particular format, database, or program (e.g. Mainframe data files) into
another format, database, or program (e.g. PC formats). Data conversion
and transmission refers to converting the customer's data and
transmitting it to the customer's PC, network, or mainframe through
direct modem transmission or the Internet. Please refer to the
