| Porcelain veneers are thin plates that are bonded permanent to teeth.
They are a good cosmetic choice for people with broken or chipped
teeth, stained fillings, stained or discolored teeth, or crooked teeth.
The procedure is done in two parts. The first part is the preparation
in which, very similar to the bonding procedure, measurements of the
tooth to be veneered are taken and temporary veneers are provided for
the patient.
In the second stage a mildly acidic solution is applied to
the surface of the tooth to provide the dentist with a clean area to
place the veneer.
Then the veneer, which is as close to your natural
tooth color as possible, is placed. Once the veneers have been placed
it is necessary to avoid staining foods.
