Learning
Distance learning is the delivery of course information via
electronic media to students who are geographically separated
from the teacher of the school.
The information can be relayed by
computers, cable television, satellites, interactive video, etc.
Distance learning, the role of the student, is just one part of
the distance education process and the other part, the role of
the teacher, is distance teaching.
In some cases distance education
is beneficial because students may not feel comfortable with
certain aspects of the classroom environment such as social
interaction and the pace of learning.
